  1. This weekend, Phoenix held its 7th Italian Festival at Heritage Square. This festival is our city’s annual celebration of Italian culture, including food, wine, music, and dancing. Highlights of the weekend included a parade and a live performance by Sbandieratori del Palio di Asti. (phoenix patch)
  2. Beware of scammers posing as law enforcement and demanding payment due to non-existent fines, says the Phoenix Police Department. According to authorities, scammers are calling local residents and threatening jail time and other penalties for failure to make alleged outstanding payments. Officials assure the public that These calls are not related to the Municipal Court or the Phoenix Police Department, as the City does not threaten residents or use phone calls, texts, or email to request personal or financial information. If you receive such a call, officials warn not to disclose personal information. (City of Phoenix)
  3. A woman is wanted for reportedly stealing from the same Northern Phoenix convenience store on three separate occasions, each time disguised in a different wig. Surveillance video shows the woman stealing the same item from a liquor cabinet on Oct. 7, 8, and 10 of last year. A silent witness described the woman as having two tattoos on her back and another on the back of her arm. Anyone who recognizes the suspect should contact Phoenix police. (FOX 10 NewsPhoenix)
