With International Coffee Day on Friday October 1st, independent coffee shops can offer a unique experience, fresher than average and with better service than chain cafes. Kartell coffee laboratories

“From seed to cup.” Cartel Coffee Labs offers the unique experience we mentioned about independent coffee shops. With 6 locations in the Phoenix area, this cafe is popular with the Phoenicians. With four different brewing methods, even the pickiest coffee snob has a choice. Grab some of their delicious baked goods during your visit as well. Songbird coffee and tea house

For our coffee lovers trying their hand at the art of tea, this is your place. “From the region, made with love.” The hotel is located on Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix. With many espresso options and delicious cold brews on tap, there should be something for every mood. Their tea menu, which includes over 25 loose leaf teas, is also impressive. Located on North 32nd Street in the Arcadia district, Provision Coffee offers a delicious experience. Visit with friends and enjoy a variety of unique coffee options, teas, cocktails and snacks. Lux has three different locations, North Central Ave, Scottsdale, and Flagstaff, and is one of the best known independent coffee shops in Arizona. Xanadu coffee

Xanadu started out as a distribution company serving specialty cafes, restaurants, offices, bars, and more. Xanadu recently opened its own coffee shop in the Garfield District of downtown Phoenix. Although the shop has only been around since 2020, the company has been creating delicious coffee for more than 12 years.

Gold Bar Espresso is located in Tempe. This shop has been independently owned and operated since 1994.
