UPDATE: According to the latest update from Pacific Power, more than 30,000 customers in Medford, Phoenix, Talent and Ashland are now without power.
Currently, the estimated time that power should be available again in some areas is estimated at 12.30 p.m., while in other areas, the time to restore power is still under review.
NewsWatch 12 has asked Pacific Power to comment on the causes of the outage, but has not yet received a response.

PHOENIX, Ore – There are currently more than 16,000 people in the Phoenix, Talent, and Medford areas without power, according to Pacific Power’s website.
According to some people we spoke to in the area, the blackout occurred around nine on Sunday evening.
