8 CVS stores in Arizona, including 5 in the Phoenix area, supply COVID vaccines

PHOENIX – Eight CVS stores in Arizona, including five on Metro Phoenix, will be offering COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible populations starting this week, the pharmacy giant said on Wednesday.

Online reservations are in progress. The dates start on Thursday. People can also call 800-746-7287 to register.

Walk-ins are not accepted.

Here are the CVS Arizona locations that are now making appointments:

  • 1625 N. 44th St., Phoenix
  • 4990 S. Arizona Ave., Chandler
  • 5050 W. Baseline Road, Laveen
  • 15474 W. Greenway Road, surprise
  • 325 W. Apache Trail, Apache Junction
  • 11464 S. Fortuna Road, Yuma
  • 1900 W. Valencia Road, Tucson
  • 2350 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City

Recordings are currently limited to those aged 65 and over, teachers, child carers, long-term care workers, healthcare workers, and security workers.

CVS Arizona branches will receive a weekly allocation of 9,300 doses during the first rollout under the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. According to a press release, the number of appointments and stores offering shots will increase as more vaccines become available.

The Arizona locations are among the 640 CVS pharmacies in 17 states starting vaccination. The company says that at some point it will be able to manage more than 20 million recordings per month across the country.

CVS is also continuing work on vaccinating residents and employees at 940 long-term care facilities in Arizona under the federal pharmacy partnership program for long-term care.
