A huge Van Gogh art event is coming to Phoenix: Here’s something to know

A new exhibition is coming to Phoenix and putting you in the middle of a masterpiece by Vincent Van Gogh.

“Immersive Van Gogh” is an art installation that features massive moving projections of the famous painter’s works, including “Starry Night”, “Sunflowers”, “The Bedroom” and “The Potato Eaters”.

Created by Italy Digital artist Massimiliano Siccardi, the tour show, opens on July 29 at a secret location in Phoenix, which will be announced shortly, according to a press release. Tickets are $ 39.99 per person and Presale starts on March 9th at vangoghphx.com.

“Hundreds of thousands of guests have seen ‘Immersive Van Gogh’ in small, socially distant, safe groups. It’s an honor to bring the arts back into people’s lives during these times,” producer Corey Ross said in a press release.

How the show “brought Van Gogh’s legacy to life”

The transit experience lasts one hour with timed entry. Capacity will be limited and additional safeguards include hands-free ticket picking, temperature checks on arrival, hand sanitizing stations, social distancing markings throughout the venue, and digitally projected social distancing circles on the gallery floors to ensure a reasonable distance. All guests must wear face covering at all times during their visit.

Immersive Van Gogh sold out its Toronto run and sold out and expanded its Chicago run. Before it comes to thatPhoenix, the show opens in March in San Francisco, where the first month of tickets is already sold out. The show is also coming to Los Angeles and New York.

Siccardi and his creative team brought Van Gogh’s art to life by creating movement in his work. The exhibition also features original music by the Italian multimedia composer Luca Longobardi.

“Although Van Gogh’s work of art was unknown all his life, it has left a lasting impression through its emotional richness and simple beauty,” Siccardi said in the publication.

“Both I and Luca Longobardi are excited to visit Phoenix and bring Van Gogh’s legacy to life in a way that embraces the unique energy of this city.”
