BORSTAR and air patrol called in to help with medical emergencies

YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The U.S. Border Patrol responded to a heat-induced request west of the Imperial Sand Dunes on Monday morning.

Chief Patrol Agent Chris T. Clem says it all started when the Yuma Sector received news of a 50-year-old woman who had crossed the border. She was reportedly “overwhelmed by the heat”.

Clem confirms that Air Patrol and Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR) agents were assisted in the search and rescue mission.
