Alan Page is now confirmed on Twitter after an initial rejection – WCCO
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The defensive end of the Vikings Hall of Fame and the first African American Supreme Court Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court, Alan Page, is now officially verified on Twitter.
In late August, Page said he did not meet Twitter’s “Notoriety Criteria” to earn verified status.
“Not remarkable!” the 76-year-old page tweeted at the time. “Hmmm.”

About a month later, that changed when Page tweeted “#Boosted” on Wednesday from a now verified account.

The coveted blue check mark is the latest accolade in Page’s fabulous and extraordinary life.
After a 15-year NFL career collecting 148.5 sacks, unofficially good enough for eighth all-time, Page earned his law degree and later served at Minnesota’s highest court for 22 years. He was the first African American to serve as a judge in the state.
He also founded the Page Education Foundation with his late wife, Diane, and the Justice Page Middle School in southern Minneapolis is named after him.
