Alaska sends Vic Manuel to Phoenix for Brian Heruela

Vic Manuel’s stint with the Alaska Aces came to an end after the striker was awarded for Brian Heruela at the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters on Tuesday. The trade, already approved by the league’s trade committee, also involves multiple pick swaps between the two teams.

Under the contract, Phoenix will broadcast the sixth overall selection in the upcoming draft received from Magnolia in the previous Calvin Abueva contract. Along with him is a second round (16th overall) and the selection of the first round of the Fuel Masters in the season 47 draft.

Alaska, however, will make its choice for the first round (7th) and the choice for the 2nd round (19th) overall.

Alaska’s head coach Jeff Cariaso said Heruela was asked by the trade committee to be included in the deal before the go-ahead was given.

“Because he wasn’t part of the original offer, he could be a blessing for us in disguise. Great kid with tremendous ethics,” Cariaso said in a tweet.

The representation should always be an extension of you. Good luck Victor. 👊🏽
