All-new Hyundai Tucson receives 3000 bookings ahead of official launch

Hyundai, the country’s third biggest carmaker, just revealed its top-of-the-line SUV Tucson, and the response has been overwhelming. And, with Tucson’s fourth generation set to be sold in India on August 10, the company has begun accepting reservations for the car. As of now, the South Korean carmaker has received over 3000 bookings for the Tuscon, and prospective consumers may reserve the SUV online or at a Hyundai shop for Rs 50,000, stated the company to the media.

The fourth-generation mid-size crossover is an entirely new automobile that has been completely remodeled using the automaker’s “Parametric Jewel” design concept. The new Tucson’s exterior has the distinctive Hyundai Parametric grille with built-in LED DRLs and all-LED headlights. Hyundai has also made changes to Tucson’s brand-new front bumper, and the whole front fascia now has a more contemporary and futuristic appearance.

Moving on, the new model’s whole profile has been given deep creases, which accentuates the Tucson’s overall angular style. Blacked-out pillars also provide the appearance of a floating roof. An LED strip joins the contemporary all-LED tail lights on the back, a feature we previously saw on the venue makeover. New alloy wheels and a striking roof rail are also added.

The interior of the brand-new Tucson has also received a lot of luxuries from Hyundai. The Tucson has a long list of goodies, starting with the large 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment system that works with Hyundai BlueLink connected car technology and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Systems for controlling temperature employ capacitive touch-based controls.

The car also incorporates an electronic parking brake, ambient lighting, and a mode switch for the gearbox. The inside of the new Tucson looks undeniably much posher thanks to the light-coloured leather upholstery. The Tucson also includes a panoramic sunroof. There are other lavish extras as well, including a hands-free tailgate. The motorized tailgate opens and closes without ever needing to touch the boot lid.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson will also come with a LEVEL-2 ADAS autonomous driving system. The technology will make use of onboard cameras and a radar system. The Hyundai Tucson has a range of ADAS features, including as autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assistance , adaptive cruise control, speed sign reading, and others. It would be the first Hyundai vehicle in India to use ADAS.

Hyundai is offering a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine as choices for drivetrains. These engines are improved versions of those that came with the older iteration of the car. The Tucson’s petrol engine will produce a maximum of about 156 PS and 192 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine will produce about 185 PS and 416 Nm of torque. The petrol engine will have a six-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel engine will have an eight-speed automatic. A manual transmission is not an option for the new Tucson.
