Assistance League celebrates 40th anniversary in Flagstaff | Local

The Assistance League of Flagstaff is an entirely voluntary, non-profit organization that has run 10 philanthropic programs that have served Flagstaff’s needy for 40 years.

One program is Operation School Bell, where children are expelled from schools. An average of 1,400 children receive new clothes, shoe books and hygiene kits every year. The other programs meet different community needs. Funds are raised through the sale of donations at the Cedar Closet Thrift Shop, with all proceeds going back to the community.

To commemorate 40 years of service, members schedule a celebration on Saturday, September 18 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Cedar Closet Thrift Shop at 2919 N. West St Mayor Deasy, watch philanthropic performances, and meet members. Buyers have a chance to win prizes.
