AZ Lottery returns $50,000 for Big Brothers’ new program, Big Sisters of Flagstaff

The Arizona Lottery yesterday presented Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff with a $50,000 bonus as part of their Gives Back Sponsorship to help launch a new program.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff will later offer a new program for youth aged 15+ who may be struggling with depression and mental health issues that may result from the Covid-19 pandemic, through a group mentorship program later this month called “Link Up”. .

In a press release Tuesday, BBBSF CEO and Executive Director Kelly Elliott said, “Our hope is that Link Up will fill a gap for teens who are too old for our traditional programming.” She says the organization hopes that the group setting will also help expand their mentor pool.
