Bayfront Well being ER, an emergency care facility attributable to open in North Cape Coral this spring

CAPE CORAL

A new facility is being built in an area of the largest city in Tucson to give people the best chance of survival in an emergency.

Bayfront Health’s new emergency department and emergency care facility is scheduled to open this spring on Del Prado Boulevard and Kismet Parkway in northern Cape Coral.

More cars on the street and more houses in the area are signs for the neighbors of Cape Coral, whose city is growing.

“Well, the traffic sure, but just the number of houses that pop up everywhere,” said Alex Fite.

“It’s blooming now,” said Tony Buscemi.

That is why the neighbors are happy that they have another opportunity in spring to receive life-saving help in an emergency. Bayfront Health’s stand-alone emergency department and care facility will help provide more immediate service to community members in a growing area.

“I think it’s great,” said Michael Reidy. “When you think of all of the people moving into this area between the Cape, Fort Myers and North Fort Myers, we probably need more of these medical facilities.”

“When there are more people, they have more medical needs,” said Fite. “These pop-ups may be a hospital alternative, which is very tedious if you’ve ever been to the emergency room to wait.”

The new center comes at a time when the hospitals are particularly stressed.

“I would imagine that this would take some pressure off Cape Coral Hospital,” said Reidy. “People sometimes postpone procedures and things like that. So if there is another facility and they are more comfortable it might not be as busy as some of the others I think people will use. “

Construction is in progress. Workers are putting the finishing touches to ensure that the emergency room doors open soon and more people have access to critical supplies.

The center will cost approximately $ 976,000 to build. Bayfront Health plans to announce shortly what services the center will offer.

“You feel more comfortable when you go to a center than when you go to the hospital. So that takes a lot of pressure off the hospital,” said Buscemi.
