Boy in extremely critical condition after drowning in Phoenix

PHOENIX – A young boy was rushed to hospital in extremely critical condition after being found at the bottom of a pool in Phoenix on Sunday, authorities said.

Firefighters and paramedics reacted to drowning near Happy Valley Road and 43rd Avenue just before noon, the Phoenix Fire Department said in a press release.

The boy was found by the family without a pulse and was not breathing, authorities said.

Crews immediately began treating the child with advanced life reanimation before the boy was hospitalized.

The boy’s age was not given.
