Bridgerton star on how Regé-Jean Page’s absence will affect season two
Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor has teased how the absence of Regé-Jean Page will affect season 2.
Earlier this year it was announced that the Simon Basset actor would not appear in the second season of the Regency drama and had left the Netflix series entirely to focus on new projects.
Season one ended with Daphne (Dynevor) and Simon welcoming a newborn son. With production already underway for Season 2, Dynevor recently discussed the impact of Page’s absence on screen.

“I think he will definitely get mentioned a lot,” the actress told The Wrap. “I think we’ll see the baby. And we just focus more on [Daphne’s] Relationship with the Bridgerton family. “
Along with Julia Quinn’s novels, Bridgerton Season 2 will accompany Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) in search of a suitable marriage.
“It’s definitely different,” said Dynevor of the new episodes. “And I’ve said it before, but I think the fans who have read the books and know the books are aware that each season will focus on a different sibling’s journey.
“And maybe it’s a little more – not a shock, but a surprise for the fans who love the story of Daphne and Simon so much. But I think that’s the joy of the show in the long run, watching these different love stories play out. “

The charming actor Rupert Evans was also cast as Bridgerton Patriach Edmund.
Meanwhile, Merlin’s Rupert Young will play a character named Jack, while liar actress Shelley Conn portrays Kate Sharma’s mother Mary.
Bridgerton Season 1 is now available on Netflix. Season 2 is in production.
