Two top flyweights outside of the UFC will meet on Friday July 2nd for the Legacy Fighting Alliance Interim Flyweight Championship at the LFA 110 headliner.
Professional boxer and mixed martial artist Charles Johnson competes against Japan’s Yuma Horiuchi at the Grand Hotel Casino and Resort in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
The co-main event is a middleweight affair between the undefeated Chibwikem Onyenegecha and Renato Valente. Christina Natividad, the younger brother. of UFC bantamweight, Kevin Natividad, meets Luis Aguirre in a flyweight matchup.
The ladies straw women Jaqueline Amorim and Megan Owen have also put their flawless records at risk. The night starts with two flyweights, who make their professional debut when Arpan Gurung competes against Oscar Herrera.
LFA 110 preview
On a night when three out of five fights are played with flyweights, Johnson plans to give up a 125-pound division with a title win. The 30-year-old arrives at LFA 100 last February against Karlee Pengilinan after an anaconda choke in the first round.
Horiuchi is performing in the LFA cage for the third time after tapping Donavon Frelow with an arm bar in the second round at LFA 104 in April. On his LFA debut, the 23-year-old suffered a loss to Leandro Gomes at LFA 81 in January 2021.
Onyenegecha is performing for the first time since July 2018. The Forge MMA product took a split decision win against Anthony Adams in Dana White’s Contender series but went without a contract. He is perfect in his professional career with six of his seven wins through TKO / Knockout.
Valente is 3-3 in his last six fights. Most recently, he dropped a unanimous decision, which Mark Martin nodded at LFA 105 in April.
Natividad enters his fourth undefeated LFA fight 3-0. In its most recent fight, The Hawaiian Punch won unanimously against Evan Woolsey at LFA 100.
Aguire recently finished a second-round tackle with Erick Olea at EXF 15 in May.
