Columbia Gem House promotes responsible sourcing at Tucson Gem Shows

(PRESS RELEASE) With forty-five years in business and over twenty years dedicated to responsible sourcing, Columbia Gem House (CGH) plans to show in Tucson what it means to make a positive impact in the colored gemstone industry. To overcome the supply chain challenges of Covid-19, the CGH team has been busy sourcing new materials, testing new cutting styles and continuing to collaborate within (and outside) the industry to make a positive impact with their work.

The Tucson Gem Shows will be CGH’s culmination of the past 18 months of diverse projects and the incredible gems that have come to life as a result. You’ll find the brand at both the AGTA GemFair Tucson and the Ethical Gem Fair – Tucson with many new gems to discover.

AGTA GemFair Tucson (CGH Booth 1117)
Tuesday 1st February – Sunday 6th February | 10am-6pm Tues-Sat, 10am-4pm Sun

As one of the founding members of AGTA, CGH will be exhibiting at the AGTA GemFair Tucson (Booth #1117) at the Tucson Convention Center. With show specials across an extensive inventory selection, you’ll find everything from traditional faceted gemstones to creative designer cuts, all responsibly sourced worldwide and then cut by CGH in their workshop. At the booth you can learn more about the brand’s principles and protocols and how the team manages responsible production to bring Fair Trade GemsTM to market.

During the show, you can also join CGH Founder and President Eric Braunwart at his panel discussion at the AGTA GemFair Tucson on Thursday, February 3 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Graham Room.

  • Open designer-dealer discussion: consumer views on responsibly sourced gemstones and impact on the supply chain
Eric Braunwart is joined by a group of designer retailers to discuss consumer views on responsibly sourced gemstones and how their work and/or business has evolved over the last 5 years. You will also discuss the differences between business practices and marketing tactics and how this ultimately impacts the supply chain. This group will gather questions from the audience upon arrival, which will guide the discussion and open the space for audience participation.
