Major upgrades from a vendor for public amenities and the exterior of the building added to Ten01 on the lake in Tempe. In fact, these improvements were so well received that they resulted in a recent acquisition.

The multi-family community with 523 residential units was bought by Oxford Properties Group for an undisclosed purchase price. This is the company’s first purchase in the greater Phoenix area.

“The acquisition of Ten01 on the Lake is an indication of Oxford’s appetite for expanding its presence in the Phoenix market,” said Jeff Turkanis, director of US residential buildings in Oxford. “We believe that Phoenix will be one of the top performing metropolitan areas in the country, driven by favorable demographic trends, healthy employment and income growth expectations.”

Ten01 on the Lake was built in 2007 and is a medium-sized community on the north shore of Tempe Town Lake. It is located at the intersection of North Scottsdale Road and Loop 202 at 1001 E Playa del Norte Dr.

Tyler Anderson, Sean Cunningham, Asher Gunter and Matt Pesch of Phoenix Multifamily Institutional Properties from CBRE represented the seller, a global real estate investment manager.
