Defending champions Kansas Metropolis Chiefs face Tampa Bay within the Tremendous Bowl, beating Buffalo 38-24 within the AFC Championship

KANSAS CITY, Mon. – Defending champions Kansas City Chiefs face Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl, beating Buffalo 38-24 in the AFC Championship.

The Kansas City win marks the first Super Bowl matchup between the two victorious quarterbacks of the last two Super Bowls. Last season, Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl championship with a win over the San Francisco 49ers. Two years ago, Tom Brady led the New England Patriots to a Super Bowl win over the Los Angeles Rams.

The Chiefs will contest their third Super Bowl championship in franchise history. Kansas City also won Super Bowl IV against the Vikings in 1970. The Buccaneers are aiming for their second title after defeating the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003.

Kansas City hosted the AFC championship game for the third year in a row and won two consecutive seasons thanks to a dominant offense. After a playoff on their inaugural holdings, the Chiefs scored touchdowns on three straight holdings before the end of half. They then scored all three goals in the second half before pulling a knee at the end of the game.
