Dennis Bene, Nemer Hassey, will be for the Tucson High School Football Showcase | universities return to the sidelines

Tucson high school football resumes on May 8th when 100 high school seniors compete in the Tucson High School All-Star Football Showcase in southern Arizona.

Former Salpointe State Championship coach Dennis Bene and former Sahuaro and Cienega coach Nemer Hassey will be the head coaches. The 100 players will be selected by a committee comprised of three-time State Championship coach Jeff Scurran and Tucson City Councilor Paul Cunningham, who helped organize the game. Bene and Hassey take turns choosing 50 players per team.

The Arizona Bowl and the City of Tucson helped develop the game, which is designed to give high school seniors an opportunity to show off their college recruitment skills. The teams will train from May 2nd to May 7th.
