Dog dies after house fire in Phoenix | Arizona News
PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A dog failed after a fire broke out in a house in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters were called to a house on 31st Avenue south of Bethany Home Road. When the crews got there, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the back of the house. The crews quickly searched the house while others attacked the fire in the back of the house. Because of the extreme heat, additional firefighters were called, bringing the total to around 40 firefighters.
The fire brigade prevented the flames from spreading to other houses and saved most of the house. Everyone inside got out before the fire department arrived. Unfortunately a dog died. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
