Doug Trattner checks out The Last Page in Pinecrest

Owner Todd Leebow decided to try something new after also owning Majestic Steel in Cleveland with his family.

BEACHWOOD, Ohio – Todd Leebow, CEO of Majestic Steel, loves going to the theater.

So he designed his first restaurant to mimic these surroundings in a variety of ways. The Last Page restaurant recently opened in Pinecrest on the east side of Cleveland.

Guests walk through an elegant anteroom – which Leebow calls the Green Room – to get to the ground floor. Booths and banquets surround the room like boxes in an opera house. All eyes have a clear view of the stage, here the all-round ledge at the other end of the room.

Leebow describes the restaurant as a “modern American concept” that draws its culinary accents from all over the world. The talented culinary team consists of culinary director Jordan Rolleston, culinary director Brad Race, and head chef Logan Abbe.

Guests can expect a varied menu with a global influence. Guests can look forward to starters such as sweet potato chips with rye sour cream, salmon belly with crostini, colossal prawns with horseradish cocktail sauce, and sweet and spicy, dry-grated ghost wings with umami ranch. The soups and salads include charred broccoli miso, a broccolini caesar, and sesame Brussels sprouts with kimchi yogurt.

For sandwiches there is a pho French dip, a yum yum chicken sandwich and a smash burger with bacon jam, horseradish aioli and crispy onions. For larger plates there is salmon with black garlic soup, flat iron steak from Niman Ranch with pickled shiitake and rocket, whole branzino with sweet Thai chili sauce and lamb chops with labneh, aubergine puree and harissa.

In spring, the restaurant will unveil the well-equipped terrace with a fireplace.

Leebow says he won’t stop at a restaurant. His recently established Art of One Concepts plans to develop and run the hospitality industry both here and outside.

The last page is open seven days a week with an all-day menu during the week and a brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays. Check out the menu here.
