Dr. Emil H. Annabi, one of Tucson’s leading pain medicine specialists, has won the ThreeBestRated® Award 2021

Dr. Emil H. Annabi, Medical Director of the Pima Pain Center, has won the ThreeBestRated® Award 2021 for one of the Top Rated Pain Management Physicians in Tucson, AZ. This is his fifth win in a row.

About Dr. Emil H. Annabi – Pima Pain Center:

Dr. Annabi received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Texas at El Paso and a scholarship in pain medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital. He was director of pain management at the University of Arizona for seven years before opening his own practice, the Pima Pain Center, in 2014.

Dr. Annabi always felt that there was a pain management void in the city of Tucson. “To best serve our community, I felt that the best way to serve them is to develop a truly multidisciplinary approach to pain that includes addiction therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic, imaging, procedures, medication, sports medicine, Advice and much more, ”he explains.

Multidisciplinary approach:

Unlike a typical pain practice, they don’t refer patients for testing. You have your own MRI, X-ray, and other testing and imaging equipment.

“We are an all-in-one practice that combines everything under one roof,” says Dr. Annabi. “This includes our own physiotherapy, massage therapy and Eastern medicine with acupuncture. We combine chiropractic, addiction medicine and psychiatric services with our own psychiatric providers under one roof. We also have social workers who help out with meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy and Reiki, ”he adds.

They are leaders in interventional treatments and evaluate and perform more kyphoplasties than anyone else in the state. “We also offer minimally invasive spine surgery for other options. We believe in nutrition and recommend specific nutraceuticals, vitamins and CBD. We basically look at the entire patient and adapt the needs to their actual problems by looking at them holistically and not just one problem, ”explains Dr. Annabi.

This multidisciplinary approach has helped it become the central pain management center in southern Arizona with offices in seven locations. They also introduced new procedures this year. “The newer procedures we perform include peripheral stimulation treatments and Vertiflex, which provides patients with a clinically proven, minimally invasive solution to leg and back pain associated with lumbar spinal stenosis,” he explains.

The Pima Pain Center has expanded its office by opening its new office on the east side with a separate wing for mental health services, including group therapy, meditation, and social work, as well as addiction, and has a 3,000-square-foot wing where patients meet for group therapy.

Dr. Annabi and the Pima Pain Center have not only won the ThreeBestRated® Award five years in a row, but also won the Reader Choice Award 2020 for best medical specialist.
