Dr. Yuma is the new site manager at CBC

There’s a new face at Coastal Bend College – Alice Campus, ready to get the college and community involved.

Dr. Stephanie Yuma is currently the Site Director for CBC – Alice Campus. She has been on duty for several weeks and has held meetings with staff and community leaders.

Dr. Yuma oversees day-to-day operations and ensures that faculty and staff adhere to all institutional policies, processes, and procedures. Their main function is to serve as a direct line of communication and representation for CBC in the Alice community and surrounding areas. In addition, Dr. Yuma works with the various departments on the main campus to ensure that these areas operate effectively and efficiently within the Alice campus.

She has more than 10 years of experience in higher education and has worked in various functions such as communications specialist, matriculation and loyalty coordinator, lecturer and program dean for general education, faculty of economics, research and graduate studies. She has taught several undergraduate and graduate degrees in the following subjects: communication, leadership, ethics and teamwork in corporate organizations. In addition, her research included specialist publications and conference presentations focusing on admission requirements, self-efficacy and intergenerational college students, recruitment practices, professional development efforts for ACPs, and classroom communication.

Before Dr. Yuma came on board at CBC, he had work experience at the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce, TAMHSC-Rangel College of Pharmacy, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Hallmark University and Del Mar College.
