Driver shot, little girl injured after shooting in Phoenix on Sunday | Arizona News

PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A man was shot and a little girl was injured after gunfire broke out in Phoenix on Sunday.

At around 3:45 p.m., gunfire rang out near 35th Avenue and Buckeye Road. When local officials responded, a man said he was driving the neighborhood when he heard gunshots. He was hit by a bullet, but police said his injury was not life threatening.

A 6-year-old girl who was also in the car was injured by broken glass.

It is not known whether a suspect has been found. The police informed us that there was no evidence that the incident was road rage.
