Easter egg hunt and service – Yuma Pioneer

An Easter egg hunt is on the program again this year.
Yuma childcare workers Jackie McCasland and Heather Medrano host the ninth annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Old Threshers Grounds. It will be Saturday, April 3rd, at 9 a.m. Age groups 0-10 are invited to participate. The Easter bunny will be there too.
Participants and families are asked to observe the COVID-19 guidelines. Each age group will be announced when it is time to attend.

Church services during Holy Week
Holy Week is here and several services are planned in the District Churches.
Pleasant Valley Church is planning a sunrise Easter service on Old Baldy, the highest point in the area. Meet at County Roads U and 54 at 6:15 am to carpool (four-wheel drive) upstairs.
Breakfast is served in the church after sunrise.
The service on Easter Sunday starts at 8:30 a.m. with special music. There will be no Sunday school, but there will be an egg hunt after the service.
Pleasant Valley has a Maundy Thursday service today, April 1st, starting at 7 p.m.
The Yuma Ministerial Association will not have a sunrise service this year. However, the ministers are preparing individual Easter greetings to be displayed on their Facebook page (facebook.com/yumaministerial). In addition, the Facebook page has a list of the services that will take place this week.
The First Presbyterian of Yuma is holding an Easter celebration for all ages at 9:15 am on Sunday with worship at 10:30 am. The sermon hotline is 970-233-0747.
The first southern Yum Baptist Church will hold an Easter Sunday service at 10:45 am
St. John’s Lutheran will worship an Easter Sunday at 9 a.m.
The Yuma Christian Church will be holding an Easter service in person at 10 a.m. and will also have a live Facebook feed.
The first Yuma Church of the Nazarene will have Sunday school at 9:30 am and morning service at 10:30 am. It will take place in person and will also be online at yuma1stnaz.org.
Yuma United Methodist Church’s Easter service and Holy Communion take place at 10:30 am
Faith Bible Baptist Church celebrates sacrament today, April 1, at 5 p.m. The church will have an Easter sunrise service at 7:30 a.m., an Easter morning breakfast at 8 a.m., a Sunday school at 8:30 a.m., and an Easter service at 9:30 a.m.

Today, April 1st, the Catholic Church of St. John the Evangelist has a bilingual mass on Maundy Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The Good Friday service takes place on April 2nd at 5.30 p.m. There is an English mass on Easter Sunday at 9 a.m. and a Spanish mass at 11 a.m.
New Life Christian has Sunday school for all ages at 9:00 am and main service at 10:00 am.
The Eckley Community Church Easter Sunday service takes place at 9:00 a.m. You can participate in person, in your vehicle or online.
