Feds attack ex-Theranos CEO’s 45-page jury questionnaire
Law360 (Jun 4, 2021, 10:59 PM EDT) – The 45-page jury questionnaire proposed by ex-Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes for her upcoming fraud trial is “excessive, invasive and unlikely” to the Californian Federal court to help select an impartial jury, argued the federal prosecutor on Thursday.
Holmes is due to be tried on Aug. 31, more than three years after she was charged with scamming investors and doctors with blood testing technology that she allegedly knew wasn’t working.
Holmes’ offer for the long questionnaire is allegedly to ensure that the pre-trial public in the high profile fraud case doesn’t distort the jury and look for pandemic-related issues, but the U.S. Department of Justice said …
