Flagstaff City Council to Discuss Presidio in the Pines, COVID Testing in Sewage and More Tuesday – KAFF News – Flagstaff

Flagstaff City Council will go through a full agenda when it returns to the podium at City Hall on Tuesday afternoon. Highlights on the agenda include a planned development called the Presidio in the Pines that would house three buildings that would house 32 condos. The proposed development was rejected two weeks ago by the planning and zoning committee 3: 2. If the majority of the council agrees to discuss it, a public hearing will be called and it will be placed on a future agenda. Also on the agenda is a discussion of allocating $ 50,000 to wastewater testing for COVID-19 at elementary and middle schools in Flagstaff. Mayor Deasy last week called for a special meeting that four members did not attend. The incident sparked a battle of words between the mayor and others on social media. The council will also hear a citizens’ petition to limit the parking of all recreational vehicles, including RVs, boats, RVs, trailers and other trailers, to 30 calendar days, with a possible appeal to the city for an additional extension of 30 days, at most 60 days per calendar year. The meeting starts at 3pm and has a limited number of places for those who wish to attend. The meeting will also be streamed online on the city’s website.
