Flagstaff Girls soccer coach Holly Jones sacked after allegations of bullying – KAFF News – Flagstaff

Flagstaff High School girls soccer coach Holly Jones was fired from the Flagstaff Unified School District on allegations of bullying, with at least one person fearing for their personal safety and calling the police. The FUSD Board of Directors ruled Tuesday that the allegations against Jones are a ground for dismissal if true. Administrative attorney Don Johnson told the board that
Jones sent “long and repetitive texts, emails, verbal communications, and personal interactions that she continued after repeated prompts to stop.” The administration has hired a personal investigator to investigate the allegations. Johnson said, “The investigation found findings and conclusions that Ms. Jones has repeatedly committed bullying, unprofessional behavior, repeated insubordination, and repeated disregard of her manager’s instructions regarding specific issues.” Johnson added, “Violations include: Bullying , creating a hostile work environment, creating an unsustainable work environment with their superiors, and breaking their professional contract with the district. ” Jones was named AIA Small School Girls Soccer Coach of the Year in 2020 after the Flagstaff Eagles won the 4A State Championship, which was their third state title as a coach at Flag High. Jones has until July 23 to appeal the board’s decision.
