STATEN ICELAND, NY – The archive page today is dated October 16, 1954.

James V. Tague, a World War II Navy veteran, serves as Headmaster of Port Richmond High School.

During a special meeting, Tague said that teachers and parents “have a responsibility to instill in youth the spirit of hope and courage that has enabled man to achieve his tremendous achievements”.

He is appointed by C. Frederick Pertsch, deputy superintendent for urban high schools.
