STATEN ICELAND, NY – The archive page today is dated April 16, 1952.
It turns out that the sale of the old brewery on Manor Road is imminent.
Workers invade the 100-year-old building and begin clearing mountains of empty beer cans and other debris.
A spokesman for Irving Goldwynn, a Manhattan real estate agent, refused to say who was standing in line to buy the property at 778 Manor Rd, but admits negotiations are ongoing.
One report says that the unused part of the structure is used to store fur.
