I wasn’t “prepared” for “overwhelming” sex scenes
Channel change! While many viewers enjoyed watching the hot Bridgerton sex scenes, Regé Jean page didn’t feel the same!
“Nobody was adequately prepared. I wasn’t prepared enough, and I was there, ”revealed Page, 31, during The Hollywood Reporter’s Emmy Roundtable series released on Wednesday June 16. “I think people were grateful for the intensity of the romantic aspects of Bridgerton; I’m not sure how grateful I was to see it for myself. It was overwhelming. But I think people wanted to be overwhelmed. “

There was an extra layer for Page when it came to his family watching.
“My family doesn’t want my bum to get overwhelmed by my family too often, but they take it on this occasion because everyone seems terribly happy,” he noted.
Phoebe Dynevor, with whom Page shared numerous sex scenes on the Netflix hit show, also spoke about whether family members opted for the hot moments.
“Episode 6 is the danger of red light warning,” joked Dynevor, 26, during a Conan interview in January. “I saw it with my grandparents. With my family, we just skipped episode 6. That was a no-go! “
The Younger alum added, “I had to sit down on the remote and fast-forward the bits before episode 6 which are also a bit precarious. I say: ‘You don’t have to see the piece!’ “
“It’s a year old bow. It will have a beginning, a middle and an end – give us a year, ”he told Variety in April of his talks with producers at the start of the show. “One of the things that are different about it [romance] Genre is that the audience knows the arc is complete. They come in with that knowledge so that people can be emotionally tied up, knowing that we will come out and have the marriage and the baby. “
Page’s decision upset many fans who expressed their disappointment online – much to the producer’s shock Shonda Rhimes.

“I don’t think I fully expected or understood what the simultaneous release of all eight episodes around the world would do,” said Rhimes, 51, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in May. “I thought to myself, ‘I’ve killed a lot of people that people love.’ I’m so surprised everyone is [losing it over a character we’ve watched] left for eight episodes. “
