In Yuma. one inmate was arrested for violent crimes among three other migrants
YUMA, Arizona (KVOA) – A man convicted of a serious crime was detained Tuesday night by agents from the Yuma Sector Border Police from among three undocumented non-citizens.
According to US Customs and Border Protection, Fredy Zuniga-Caceres and three other people from Honduras were discovered by agents near County 8½ Street and Levee Road.
The four were arrested and taken to Yuma Station for further treatment.
Upon investigation, agents learned that Zuniga-Caceres was convicted of criminal / malicious injury / mutilation in 2009.
In connection with these charges, he was sentenced to 15 years in Virginia in prison.
CBP said: “Zuniga-Caceres is facing criminal prosecution for re-entering a felon after previously deported from the United States and facing jail time.”
