Janice Arnett Obituary (1942 – 2022) – Tucson, AZ

Obituary of Janice Faye Arnett
On Friday, July 1, 2022, Janice Faye Arnett, loving wife and mother of three, passed away at the age of 79.
Janice was born to Beldon and Gertie (Caldwell) Tackett on September 29, 1942 in Means, Kentucky. Janice was the third of six children (she is survived by siblings Joyce Walters, Lavon Roop, Betty Maness and Alan Tackett; her sister Judy Maness passed away in January 2015).
Janice married South Dwayne Arnett in 1959. In their nearly 63 years of marriage, Janice and Dwayne lived in a variety places including Ohio, Kentucky and Montana before ultimately deciding on Tucson, Arizona in 1969. They raised three children – Karen Robinson (passed away in December 2017), Tanisha Hogan and Carla Bannick. They have five grandchildren (Dawndreia McKerrow, Riley Bannick, Reagan Bannick, Skylar Bannick and Jameson Hogan) and three great-grandchildren (Dresden Cooper, Faye McKerrow and Aidan McKerrow).
Janice became a Child of God in the early 1980s. Over the years she taught the preschool Sunday school class, volunteered in the church’s nursery, was a leader in Awana and she (along with Dwayne) taught the 4th-5th grade Sunday school.
Janice worked hard as a homemaker to ensure her family was safe and happy. She had a creative side that she shared with her family through painting, sewing and cooking. She would often cook amazing meals and specialty desserts to share during celebrations at church and with her daughters’ classes at school. She had a love for travel and adventure, sharing that she had thought about becoming a flight attendant when she was younger so she could travel all over the world. Her family was her greatest joy and she loved spending time with them. She was known for her infectious laughter, quick wit, beautiful smile, and compassionate spirit.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Beldon; her mother, Gertie; sister, Judy; and daughter, Karen.
She will be missed by all who knew her, but we find joy in knowing that she is now in paradise with our Savior and with family members who passed before her. Tribcast Webcasting Service
