Large group of migrants, weapons cache found by agents in Yuma

Agents investigate to discover more migrants and weapons

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) — On Monday, El Centro Sector Border Patrol Police agents made multiple arrests involving U.S. citizens and a large group of migrants and discovered a cache of weapons.

Around 6:10 p.m., agents spotted a suspect Chevrolet Tahoe in a Yuma area known to be used by undocumented immigrants.

A particular industrial station is often used by migrants to board trains and remain undetected on their journey north.

Investigating the area, agents found 13 undocumented immigrants and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle fled to end the pursuit.

About an hour later at 7:20 p.m., agents were able to locate the vehicle at a house, from which four people got out.

Upon further investigation, agents arrested them and discovered three others at the home, one a migrant and the other a Mexican national with a border crossing card.

The house also contained a stash of weapons, including an AK-47, AR-15 rifles, a shotgun, a pistol, and more ammo.

A total of 14 migrants, five US citizens and one Mexican citizen were arrested and processed with a card.
