Letter: Jury Decision Violence is not Tucson | Local affairs

A court ruling is pending in Minneapolis. I don’t know the result, and neither do you, as we don’t sit on the jury and trust that our lawsuit, warts and everything is the best arbitrator that society has come up with.

The court ruling will certainly motivate demonstrators of all political beliefs across the country to voice their views, but my opinion is only concerned with how Tucson is reacting.

We have to allow full acceptance of the constitutional speech and zero tolerance for crime on our downtown streets and expect no windows to be broken, no graffiti and only noise.

This is the epitome of professional policing on trial in Minnesota. Let’s do better.
