Linn Appointed Acting Director of Navajo Co Public Health | Latest news

SHOW LOW – Long-time Navajo County Public Health Associate Janelle Linn has accepted the position of Acting Director. This action follows a recent charge against Jeffrey P. Lee of multiple offenses for alleged theft and misuse of public funds while working in Navajo and Coconino counties.

According to a previous press release, Lee has been put on administrative leave “pending further investigation.”

Lynn, a trained nurse, has over 20 years experience in the Navajo County Health Department. Most recently she worked as a public health nurse in Navajo County.

“Since the COVID pandemic began, Janelle and her team of public health nurses have worked tirelessly to protect the public by reviewing cases and conducting contact tracing,” said Bryan Layton, assistant district director. “We believe Janelle has the experience, knowledge and strong leadership skills to move us forward – and she has a strong team of professionals behind her.”

Navajo County officials through Layton affirmed that “… the partnerships we have with our communities continue without any real disruption.”
