Make it eight in a row for the Division II Flagstaff boys tennis team.

The Eagles did a quick job against Section 2 rivals Bradshaw Mountain, defeating the visiting Bears 9-0 at home in Thorpe Park.

The Eagles scored their eighth win in as many attempts and remained undefeated with a 5-0 record. The Eagles have won six games by sweep and lost only four sets all season – three against Prescott at home.

The Eagles are from the 2020 season, which was shortened due to the pandemic, and have won 10 games in a row. The Eagles went 11: 4 in the last full regular season of 2019.

The Eagles will win their ninth victory against Barry Goldwater on Tuesday afternoon in the valley.

Yeti 3, bulldogs 3

D-III Base Flagstaff Yeti linked to the enemy Kingman of the sixth section on Friday afternoon in Kingman. The draw brings the Yeti 2: 2: 1 into the overall standings, with all games taking place in the section game.

The Yeti are expected to host the Section Six Anthem Prep team on Tuesday.
