Madge Klapp

March 20, 1932 – January 25, 2023

With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Madge Klapp of Yuma Arizona on Wednesday January 25, 2023 at the age of 90 from stage 4 liver cancer.

Madge was born to Miserable Packet and Weaver Parkens on March 20, 1932 in the Blue Hills of North Carolina. She was the eldest of 9 children.

She leaves behind 2 children, John Carl Klapp and Diana Hayes.

Greetings her in heaven is her husband of 65 years, John Klapp and her daughter Catherine Wafer. Madge was a grandmother to 36 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great, grandchildren. She leaves behind many wonderful friends in Yuma and all over the country. She always said, She never met a stranger.

This beautiful woman was born to the farm and raised on hard work. As a teen she traveled to Seattle to further her education, she there with her husband John and Instantly fell in love. Madge was a licensed pilot, real estate agent, a world traveler, and an artist. She was a wonderful friend and a spectacular matriarch of her family. She set the example for all of her children and grandchildren. She created a legacy of positive loving members of their communities.

A small celebration of a life will be held at her home from 3-6pm on Saturday the 4th of February. All are welcome to attend.
