Man arrested by the lake in 30 child abuse cases | Navajo County

LAKESIDE – Navajo County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Floyd Trevor Michael Hueston, 25, on 30 crimes against children, including kidnapping and child abuse.

According to the first press release of his arrest by NCSO Public Information Officer Tori Gorman, Hueston allegedly had sexual contact more than once with a 14-year-old girl within the Pinetop-Lakeside city limits.

Following an interview with the alleged victim on Tuesday May 25th, NCSO detectives interviewed Hueston on Friday May 28th, after which he was charged and detained without bail.

On June 8, the case was brought to a grand jury indicting 30 crimes against children, including sexual conduct with minors, kidnapping, sexual abuse and child abuse.

Hueston is currently on remand in Holbrook County Jail awaiting charge without charge.

NCSO Sheriff David Clouse said crimes against children are a top priority for the NCSO.

“The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office has always taken these calls seriously. I’m proud of the detectives in the Criminal Investigations Unit, ”he is quoted in Gorman’s press release.
