PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police are investigating what led to a fatal shooting between two men in an apartment complex in Phoenix on Thursday morning.
According to Phoenix Police, officers responded to the Canyon Palms Apartments near Interstate 17 and Maryland Avenue around 11:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting. The officers spoke to a man who works in the complex and said he was being attacked by another man. During the fight, police said the clerk shot the man who attacked him. The man was taken to a local hospital and later died of his injuries.
The unnamed employee stayed and worked with investigators. The police say the investigation is ongoing.
