There were no injuries to officers or parishioners; however, there was one squatted house in the area that was hit by the man’s gunfire.

During the on-site investigation, investigators said they learned that the man’s vehicle had been set on fire and that he had taken a vehicle at gunpoint near 28th Drive and Cactus.

Police said the man forced the robbery victim to drive him a few blocks from the scene of the shooting in which the officers were involved. The victim was uninjured and drove away after the man got out of the vehicle.

The investigation continues, according to the police.
