Missing snowboarder found dead in the Snowbowl in Flagstaff
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) – Authorities say a man reported missing at the Snowbowl in Flagstaff was found dead. Coconino County Sheriff officials did not immediately release details Sunday, saying the death is under investigation.
They said Vsevolod Mikhailovich Predtechenskiy, 57, was last seen by family members in Chandler at 7 a.m. on Saturday. The 6-foot-6,200-pound predtechenskiy was going to go to ski review on his snowboard at the time.
At 10 a.m., he skyped his family from the Snowbowl ski area, which he visits frequently. Authorities said his car was in the resort parking lot. Family members said Predtechenskiy is known for walking a little off the track into the trees but is not adventurous and knows the snowbowl area well.
