Navajo Co. Sheriff’s Report January 3-9

HOLBROOK

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity January 3-9. On January 3, MPs were sent to the Kachina Gardens Apartments to report an ongoing attack. Shania Begay, 25, of Winslow, was arrested for trespassing. Marsha James, 30, of Winslow, was arrested for disorderly behavior. Begay was sent to Navajo County Jail and James was cited and locally released for disorderly behavior and domestic violence.

On January 7th, MPs were sent to Joseph City to receive reports of a possible disorderly situation. MPs found Bronsen Hubbard, 30, of Joseph City, who was drunk and in his running vehicle. Hubbard and his girlfriend Keanu Taylor, 26, of Joseph City were investigated into a domestic violence situation. Hubbard was arrested on multiple domestic violence and DUI charges and detained in Navajo County Prison. Taylor was cited and released on multiple domestic violence charges.

On January 7, MPs were sent to the Hopi Travel Plaza after reports of vehicle theft and the display of a firearm. MPs were unable to identify the suspects or locate the stolen vehicle, which was described as a brown Toyota Tacoma with an Arizona license plate of CMW5484. On January 8, MPs were sent to the Navajo County Government Complex in Holbrook after reports that a vehicle was actively damaged. Eric Kanuho, 27, of Winslow was arrested and detained in Navajo County Prison for a variety of criminal offenses.

On January 8, MPs were sent to Sun Valley Road after a report by a man who cut through a three-tier barbed wire fence. John Culpepper, 45, of Sun Valley, was arrested for criminal harm and sent to Navajo County Jail.

On January 9th, MPs were sent to Interstate 40 to try to track down a possible drunk driver. MPs located the vehicle and arrested Destiny Benally, 19, of Holbrook on multiple DUI charges and possession of alcohol under the age of 21. Passenger Dinesha Yellowhair, 19, from California was arrested while in possession of alcohol and marijuana under the age of 21. Both were sent to the Navajo County Jail.
