Navajo County declares a state of emergency over flooding

The Navajo County Board of Supervisors has declared a state of emergency over local flooding. The county has activated an emergency response center and will be sending updates through social media platforms, primarily the Navajo county’s emergency management and preparation page, https://www.facebook.com/NavajoCountyEM.

Areas hardest hit by flooding include the White Mountain Lakes, Linden, Lakeside, and Heber areas. Road closures include sections of Silver Creek Drive and Silver Creek Blvd. Sandbag stations operate at the Navajo County Mogollon Complex in Heber, behind the Heber Fire Station, at Show Low near the former Pet Allies site, Round Valley Road Yard, Vernon Fire District, and at Pinetop in Mountain Meadow Recreation Park. White Mountain Apache Tribe members can request delivery of sandbags by calling 928-338-1504 or 928-338-1505.
