Simple Machine Brewing Co. and Front Pourch Brewing in Deer Valley are about to get a new neighbor. Lake Pleasant Brewing Co. will soon open at Rose Garden Lane and 19th Avenue. Owners Nick Kelley and Dustin Westby, two brewers and friends who met while working together in the auto world, are switching to start their own business and turn their hobby into a profession. It aims to open in late January, according to a recent statement to the Phoenix New Times.

Roses by the Stairs Brewing opens on McDowell Road earlier this year. Over the past year the brewery has slowly come together, from handcrafted wooden furniture to merch designed by a local artist. It will transform the old building of Easley’s Fun Shop into a modern brewery focused on sustainable production practices. Many ingredients are sourced from small-scale Arizona producers and a portion of the proceeds will be used in environmental efforts. Owner Jordan Ham hopes to see customers in early February.

OHSO brewery

Lane’s partner at the brewery’s airport locations has decided to set up a tap room for Surprise. It will be located in the Village at Prasada Shopping Center, a new development that is in the very early stage of construction. It will be a while before customers can bring their dogs and enjoy an OHSO brew on the patio, but hope is on the horizon with the new brewery opening in late 2022 or early 2023.
