New Yuma Hospital is to lay the foundation stone in March

Texas-based Exceptional Healthcare announced Wednesday that it will begin construction of a 20,000 square foot community hospital in Yuma on March 12.

The facility is priced at $ 18 million and will include a specialist internal medicine hospital, 24-hour emergency department, on-site testing and labs, beds for inpatients and outpatients, and an ambulance landing pad.

Yuma County residents can expect more from concierge services with the new health facility, McVeigh said.

The hospital is the second of its kind in Arizona. The other location is in Maricopa County. However, the company plans to expand its locations to Bullhead City and Prescott.
