A recent accident involving a cyclist and a GMC Savanna Van was fatal. The victim, a 57-year-old man heading south on the 1300 block of S. 14th Avenue, did not stop at a stop sign. It ultimately cost him his life.

California has exceeded 3.3 million COVD-19 cases while Arizona is nearing 778,000. The total number of virus-related deaths in California exceeded 43,000, while in Arizona it was nearly 14,000.

An announcement by the Yuma County Public Health District (YCPHD) on Friday announced that it would receive 7,200 doses of the Moderna vaccine next week. The YCPHD will distribute most of its offer to partner agencies.
