One dead after a fight on the west side of Tucson

TUCSON (KVOA) – A man is dead after allegedly involved in a physical altercation on the west side of Tucson on Saturday.

Operations Division West officials responded to an emergency call over reports of a man who had been assaulted and sustained serious injuries, according to Tucson Police Department.

Officers found the victim, Trevor Gene Ladd, 37, at 500 block on N. Iroquois Ave. in front of a house with obvious signs of trauma.

Officers began providing assistance until the Tucson Fire Medics transported Ladd to Banner University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives later stated that evidence and witness reports confirmed that Ladd was involved in a physical altercation with an unidentified person on the street.

No suspect has currently been identified, and investigators have no idea what led to the altercation.

This is an ongoing investigation.
