PD: 2 teenagers with serious injuries after a car accident in Phoenix
PHOENIX – Two teenagers were rushed to hospital with serious injuries after their car crashed on Friday evening with a driver who fled a traffic obstruction.
Police attempted a traffic stop on a maroon pickup truck north of Indian School Road and 23rd Avenue at around 7:15 p.m. The truck reportedly fled north when an officer approached on foot.
At the intersection of Campbell Road and 23rd Avenue, the truck collided with a black limousine that was occupied by two teenagers, the police said.
Both children were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the truck was also rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger was not transported, police said.
The Phoenix Police are investigating the incident.
