Pedestrian dies after being hit by a suspected disabled driver in Phoenix
PHOENIX – Police say a suspected disabled driver is responsible for a fatal accident in Phoenix on Saturday afternoon.
At around 2 p.m., rescue workers were called to the crime scene near 43rd Avenue and Butler Drive to investigate reports of a pedestrian struck by a car.
When police and firefighters arrived, it was said that the pedestrian had been declared dead on site.
Authorities say a vehicle was traveling north at high speed on 43rd Avenue when it hit the man who was on a marked zebra crossing.
